Chloride Treatment:

Howell Township Road Millage:
The 2024 Road Millage for Howell Township is .9019. The estimated funds the township will generate by this millage is $450,000.
How Are Road Projects Chosen:
Every 5 years the Howell Township Board meets with the Livingston County Road Commission Engineering Department to create a 5-year Road Asset Management Plan for the Township. This plan includes bridge projects. Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) Standards are used to help create this plan. What Is Considered General Road Maintenance:
- Gravel Roads
- Grade the roads as needed
- Chloride the road up to three times a year
- Paved Roads
- Annual/Bi-annual painting of the lines
- Crack sealing is done 3-6 years after rehabilitation or reconstruction is completed
- Pothole patching is done as needed
