Howell Township (Livingston, MI)
The Township Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for ensuring fair and consistent application of the township’s zoning ordinances. The Board reviews requests for variances, special exceptions, and zoning interpretations while balancing individual property rights with community planning goals.
Members serve designated terms and hold public meetings to consider appeals, hear testimony, and make decisions regarding zoning matters. Meetings for the Zoning Board of Appeals are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM. Meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Michigan Opens Meeting Act and may be attended at the following location: Howell Township Offices – 3525 Byron Road, Howell, MI 48855-7751.
